This concert explores how the greatest composers transformed their roots and emotions into universal music.

From Grieg’s Nordic landscapes to Chopin’s best-loved pages, a journey through intimacy, virtuosity and passion.

From Grieg’s melancholic Norway to Coleridge-Taylor’s African-American spirituals, through the Polish soul of Chopin— his celebrated Nocturne in C-sharp minor and his dazzling Fantaisie-Impromptu — to the fiery, gypsy-tinged colours of Sarasate’s Gypsy Airs, each piece unveils its own sound world, between lyricism and dazzling virtuosity.

On stage: our artistic director Max Zorin on violin and the masterful Vincent Balse on piano, who treats the audience to a brief solo interlude with Chopin’s two gems.

The duo, whose mastery and perfect synergy captivate audiences at every performance, proves that music is the true universal language—and that two instruments in perfect accord can paint a thousand colors of the world into a single, transcendent harmony.
