Improvisation / Jazz :

“In my swing and gypsy jazz workshops, I like to share ideas about what jazz itself is, the gypsy culture and the music of Django Reynhardt.
Personally, I attach a lot of importance to the accompaniment, to the precise knowledge of many repertoires, to the knowledge of the history and several versions of each piece, to the quality of the sound, to the rhythmic precision.
My father, when I was ten years old, told me: “You will never be able to play a good solo, if you don’t know how to accompany very well first”. This sentence has marked me a lot. So in my workshops, I work first on the accompaniment, no matter what instruments are present, and then on the solos, keeping a firm eye on the chords and the rhythm.
In case you don’t know which instrument it is, if you’re a beginner in jazz, it’s important to have a knowledge of your instrument that goes beyond the basics, so that you don’t spend your time looking for the notes and working on the accuracy.
We work mostly on the ear, memory and feeling

Professeur : Tcha Limberger

NB : The workshops can be taken as a comprehensive course with no obligation to register for private lessons.
