Violon / Violin

Née à Madrid dans une famille de musiciens, Cecilia Bercovich, violoniste et altiste, est violon-solo et chambriste dans différentes formations musicales en Espagne et en Europe. Parmi ses autres centres d’intérêt figurent la composition et la direction musicale.

Formée par son père Victor Bercovich, elle a ensuite obtenu ses diplômes en tant que violoniste et altiste à Musikene (Conservatoire Supérieur de St. Sebastian, Espagne) dans les classes de Natalia Tchitch et Keiko Wataya. Ella a également reçu des conseils d’Isaac Stern, Itzhak Perlman, Nobuko Imai et Ilya Grubert.

Passionnée et engagée dans la création artistique de notre temps, Cecilia est régulièrement à l’origine de commandes et arrangements pour divers ensembles instrumentaux. Elle a eu l’occasion de jouer sous la direction de maîtres tels que P. Boulez, H. Holliger, R. Chailly, K. Penderecki, P. Eötvös ou encore M. Pintscher dans le cadre de nombreux festivals (Lucerne, Salzburg MITO ou Bayreuth). Ces dernières années elle s’est produite avec Meitar Ensemble à Tel Aviv, Variances à Paris, Quantum à Tenerife.

Passionnée par la pédagogie, Cecilia enseigne le violon, alto, musique de chambre et orchestre au Centre Supérieur de Musique Katarina Gurska (Madrid) et au Centre Supérieur de Musique d’Aragon (Saragosse).

Parmi ses toutes dernières activités musicales on peut citer la collaboration en tant que violon solo dans l’Orchestre de Navarre, un récital avec Miguel Ituarte autour de l’oeuvre de Joaquín Rodrigo à la prestigieuse Fondation Juan March et de nombreux projets discographiques.

Cecilia Bercovich was born in Madrid into a family of musicians. She is a violinist and violist, and plays as a soloist and chamber musician in various musical groups in Spain and Europe. Her other interests include composition and conducting.

Trained by her father Victor Bercovich, she later graduated as a violinist and violist at Musikene (Superior Conservatory of St. Sebastian, Spain) in the classes of Natalia Tchitch and Keiko Wataya. She also received guidance from Isaac Stern, Itzhak Perlman, Nobuko Imai and Ilya Grubert.

Passionate and committed to the artistic creation, Cecilia is regularly commissioned and arranged for various instrumental ensembles. She has had the opportunity to play under the direction of masters such as P. Boulez, H. Holliger, R. Chailly, K. Penderecki, P. Eötvös or M. Pintscher in the framework of numerous festivals (Lucerne, Salzburg MITO or Bayreuth). In recent years she has performed with Meitar Ensemble in Tel Aviv, Variances in Paris, Quantum in Tenerife.

Passionate about teaching, Cecilia teaches violin, viola, chamber music and orchestra at the Katarina Gurska Higher Music Center (Madrid) and the Higher Music Center of Aragon (Zaragoza).

Among her most recent musical activities, we can mention her collaboration as solo violin in the Orchestra of Navarra, a recital with Miguel Ituarte on the works of Joaquín Rodrigo at the prestigious Juan March Foundation and numerous recording projects.
