Originaire de Bordeaux, Aurélienne Brauner commence le violoncelle avec Paul Rousseau. Elle entre ensuite au CRR de Bordeaux dans la classe d’Etienne Péclard puis au CNSM de Paris dans la classe de Philippe Muller où elle obtient ses prix de violoncelle et de musique de chambre avec la mention très bien à l’unanimité et la bourse Feydeau de Brou Saint-Paul. Elle part ensuite se perfectionner à l’Universität der Künste de Berlin auprès de Jens-Peter Maintz.

Lauréate d’un prix d’interprétation au concours Lutoslawski, elle est soutenue par le Mécénat Musical Société Générale et la Fondation Meyer, lui permettant ainsi de réaliser un CD « Jeunes Solistes » consacré aux œuvres pour violoncelle seul du XXème siècle.

Aurélienne se produit à New-York, Kyoto, Santander, Verbier, Berlin, à la Roque d’Anthéron, à la Cité de la musique, salle Cortot. En 2008, elle joue en tant que « Révélation de l’ADAMI », à l’Arsenal de Metz, à l’Opéra de Vichy, au Septembre Musical de l’Orne, à l’Opéra National de Lorraine, au Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne et à l’Opéra-Théâtre d’Avignon. Elle a également été l’invitée de Gaëlle Le Gallic sur France Musique et « Découverte » du magazine Classica-Répertoire.

En 2009, elle reçoit le prix de la Fondation Del Duca décerné par l’Académie des Beaux-Arts pour récompenser le début de sa carrière musicale et est lauréate de la Fondation de la Vocation (« promotion Président de la République »). Elle a été sélectionnée par le « International Holland Music Sessions » pour la tournée des « New Masters on tour » en 2010-2011. Elle s’est également produite à Radio France dans le cadre des concerts « Génération Jeunes Interprètes ». On a pu l’entendre aux côtés de Patrice Fontanarosa, David Grimal, Paul Katz, Jean-Guihen Queyras… Aurélienne est lauréate de la Fondation Oulmont (Fondation de France).

En 2011, Aurélienne a joué en soliste avec l’Orchestre National de Lille sous la direction de Laurent Petitgirard et en soliste avec l’Orchestre de la Philharmonie de Baden-Baden (Allemagne). Elle s’est produite en 2012 dans plusieurs festivals en France et à l’étranger, notamment en Suède et au Palazzetto Bru Zane à Venise avec la pianiste Lorène de Ratuld.

Plus récemment, elle a réalisé une tournée en Norvège avec le MinEnsemble ainsi que des concerts dans divers festivals (Sinfonia en Périgord, Musique en Vallée du Tarn, Concerts de Vollore, Musiciennes à Ouessant,Val d’Aulnay…) Elle s’est également produite dans plusieurs villes d’Algérie (Alger, Oran, Constantine, Annaba) pour la présentation du spectacle « La Musique m’a sauvé la vie » en hommage aux Poilus de la grande guerre.
Aurélienne est violoncelle solo de l’orchestre Bordeaux-Aquitaine depuis février 2014.

Raised in Bordeaux, Aurélienne Brauner began studying cello with Paul Rousseau, and then at the Bordeaux Conservatory under Etienne Péclard. Admitted by unanimous jury vote to the class of Philippe Muller at the Paris Conservatory (CNSM) in 1999, she won Cello and Chamber music Prizes with highest honors and the Feydeau de Brou Saint Paul Award as a top instrumentalist. She received a French government scholarship to study for two years with Russian cellist Karine Georgian at Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and the University of Manchester (U.K.). She complemented her studies by taking lessons with Mstislav Rostropovitch, Gary Hoffman, Ralph Kirshbaum, Natalia Shakovskaya in Moscow, and many others. She returned to CNSM for a post-graduate studies program with Philippe Muller.

International competition successes include the interpretation prize in Warsaw (2001), one of the three British orchestral string scholarships from the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe in London (2004), and a special jury prize in Markneukirchen, Germany (2005). Aurélienne performed in New York and Kyoto, Santander, Verbier, Berlin, La Roque d’Anthéron, Ravinia, Lucerne under Pierre Boulez. In 2007, she was acclaimed “Classical revelation of the year” by Adami. She was Gaëlle Le Gallic’s guest on France Musique public radio and named “Discovery of the Month” by Classica-Répertoire musical magazine. Her “Young soloist CD” supported by the Meyer Foundation and devoted to the 20th century sonata for solo cello (Ligeti, Kodály, Crumb, Dutilleux) illustrates her interest in a contemporary repertoire.

A student with Jens Peter Maintz at the University of Arts of Berlin from 2007 to 2010, she performed several concerts in Germany (Berlin, Weimar …). In France she played with famous performers like Patrice Fontanarosa, David Grimal, Paul Katz, Jean-Guihen Queyras. In 2009 she was distinguished by the French Academy of Fine Arts and the Del Duca Foundation for the beginning of her musical career. Also she received prestigious awards from the Foundation of Vocation under the auspices of the President of the French Republic, from the Oulmont Foundation (Foundation of France). She obtained a grant from the Banque Populaire Foundation. She was selected by the International Holland Music Session for the New Masters 2010-2011 concert tour. Aurélienne was invited, as a soloist, by the Lille National Orchestra for a premiere concert performance of “John Rabe” by Laurent Petigirard. She also played the Hayd D-dur concerto, as a soloist, with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2012 she has performed in several festivals and venues in France and Europe, especially in Sweden, at the Palazzetto Bru Zane in Venice, with the pianist Lorène de Ratuld (the Duo Luperca). She has regularly played with the chamber orchestra “Les Dissonances” directed by David Grimal, including recordings. She also joined the famous ‘’Violoncelles Français’’ (Raphaël and Roland Pidoux, Eric-Maria Couturier, François Salque, Xavier Phillips, Emmanuel Gaugué). French composer Edith Lejet dedicated a special piece for Solo Cello to Aurélienne.

Among her recent public performances, she has played with the Phoebus String trio at several venues in Norway, where she also toured with the MiNensemblet. In France, summer festival performances included Sinfonia en Périgord, Musique en Vallée du Tarn, Concerts de Vollore, Musiciennes à Ouessant, Val d’Aulnay. She also played in Algeria, as part as the performance “Music saved my life” in tribute to French World War I soldiers.

Aurélienne is currently the cello soloist of the Bordeaux-Aquitaine National Orchestra (ONBA). She plays an 1859 Nicolas-François Vuillaume cello.
